Shooter specialist from Asus on the go – thanks to the latest Intel Core i7 CPU and NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics chip, it’s even got plenty of power.
With the ROG Strix SCAR II (GL704), which costs around $1800, ASUS presents its latest gaming notebook in the ROG Strix series, which has been specially designed for demanding players and e-sport applications.
The model’s keyboard, optimised for first-person shooters (FPS), is based on desktop gaming keyboards in terms of robustness, accuracy and ease of use. The exclusive ROG overstroke technology makes the fastest and most precise reactions possible and gives gamers a decisive advantage in the game. The ROG Strix SCAR II is now available in Germany.
The ROG Strix SCAR II has a 17 inch display with a frame rate of 144 Hz, a response time of 3 ms and a color space coverage of 100% (sRGB). Thanks to its particularly narrow NanoEdge frame, the notebook with its impressive 17-inch display is no bigger than a 15.7-inch device. The ROG Strix SCAR II’s HyperCool Pro cooling system features three heat sinks and two fans to ensure optimal system performance at all times. Externally, the gaming notebook is inspired by FPS games with durable camouflage and Kevlar surface textures.
The ROG Strix SCAR II is equipped with the latest eighth generation Intel processors – up to the Intel Core i7-8750H – as well as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 6 GB graphics and 16 GB DDR4 memory. It also features ROG’s patented RangeBoost technology: the multi-antenna design ensures the best possible signal reception at all times, thus increasing the WLAN’s range by up to 30 percent.
